Intention (SMART Goal)
By March 2nd, as part of my film team, I will explore the screenwriter’s skill pathway by following The Visual Story by Bruce Block and will have created scenes that use contrasted lighting to show a character’s split mind over the scenes of our Session 4 project.

Lee Smith, has great perspective on being an editor, specifically he says” being cast as an editor is much like being cast as an actor or cinematographer, etc.”(2;56)
Rather than the blood or gore a typical war movie might focus on, Lee Smith comments about how Dunkirk instead uses a sense of suspense and anxiety to help portray its narrative.(~6:00)`
Talks about the components of land air and sea in the movie, and how organizing the sequences in different orders resulted in a different emotional impact on the audience.
Spoke about how using noisy Imax cameras where a limitation to recording audio.
The bouncing of the camera adds a nice affect making the viewer feel as if they are there.
The pacing music, in tune with the walking, and accelerating plot, also exacerbates the feelings of emergency surprise.(3;53)
